With RIDING ON A CLOUD the Lebanese artist Rabih Mroué has created perhaps his most personal and warmhearted work. Rabih's brother Yasser Mroué was wounded during the civil war and as a result lost his ability to speak properly. Apparently he recognizes objects but not their image anymore. A physician advised him at the time to make films in order to retrain this ability. Onstage Yasser shows us his videos and tells us his story, mixing personal memories with his subjective view of the political development in Lebanon. In addition, during the SPIELART festival his new production ODE OF JOY will be performed at Kammerspiele.
