In English
Blushing, crying, an erection on command? BONER assumes that one can only first completely comprehend a situation sociologically when one doesn't just examine the human behavior, but also factors in the objects that made the situation possible and helped to create it in the first place. As objects cannot express themselves very well, this performance helps them. Speakers, fire extinguishers, and fans report on their functions and properties that give them their value. In the performance situation they become doers on the same level as Iggy Malmborg. Or will the artist be degraded here to an article of daily use? Who normally operates whom? The human the object? Or the object the human?
In his solo performance, Iggy Malmborg inquires about the autonomy of the subject – and inquires about what human actions and desires mean.
